  4.   As with previous releases, the Sysop is in complete control of how and
  5.   which of PCBFV's many features are enabled.

  9. * AutoFlag! If enabled, PCBFV will make PCBoard think the caller has typed
  10.   instructions to "FLAG" the caller created "FLAG.ZIP" as part of PCBoard's
  11.   own "FLAG Batch List". PCBoard will include the file in the caller's batch
  12.   download list, remind the caller if it hasn't been downloaded and they
  13.   say (G)oodbye, etc. This feature is explained in detail in PCBFV.DOC.

  15. * PCBFV is now fully functional with non-standard COM ports, IRQ settings,
  16.   and addresses.

  18. * An optional command menu may be used. This optional menu is not really
  19.   needed if the main PCBFV prompt has been modified to contain command
  20.   examples, however the ability to add a menu is available for Sysops who
  21.   desire it.

  23. * For multi-node systems already running PCBFV, the SET NODE= environment
  24.   setting is no longer needed.

  26. * The PCBFiler/Local mode has been greatly enhanced. PCBFV now features a
  27.   true local mode which does not require any PCBoard system files to operate.

  29. * PCBFV now follows the F3 printer toggle and if 'on' PCBFV will send any
  30.   output which normally goes to the caller log to the printer also.

  36. * Now supports all activities on .LZH files, LHarc SFX .EXE and .COM files,
  37.   and PKSFX .EXE files, as well as the previously supported .ZIP .ARC and
  38.   .PAK formats.

  40. * New (S)elect command allows callers to select other compressed files for
  41.   viewing without having to pop back and forth between PCBoard and the F V
  42.   shell (completely CONFERENCE DLPATH.LST and FSEC aware!).

  44. * PCBFV is now completely Desqview aware and "behaved". PCBFV detects the
  45.   presence of Desqview, writes only to the appropriate video buffer for the
  46.   appropriate window, and gives it's time slice to other applications while
  47.   idling at an input prompt.

  49. * A couple of prompts in PCBFV can be customized by the Sysop, allowing PCBFV
  50.   to continue to live up to it's "looks like PCBoard" claims. (i.e. looks
  51.   like *YOUR* PCBoard if you change many of PCBTEXT defaults).

  53. * Ability to limit types of files for (F)lagging based on file names.

  55. * Now allows "flagging across files". If the Sysop wishes, the caller may view
  56.   from one file to another while adding individually selected files to one 
  57.   "caller created file", without having to download the caller created file
  58.   between each File View.

  60. * The Sysop may specify the number of individual files which can be added at
  61.   one time to a caller created file (helps prevent abuse).

  63. * New (I)nventory command allows callers to review the contents and size of
  64.   their caller created file (especially helpful if "flagging across files" 
  65.   is enabled).

  67. * An "information" file is automatically included in each caller created file,
  68.   stating the name of the individual files and the compressed file(s) they
  69.   came from.

  71. * Writes pertinent information to the caller log. This gives the Sysop the
  72.   ability to monitor the files callers are flagging for individual download.

  74. * Can now be installed as a door, for those systems with severe memory
  75.   limitations that prohibit shelling.

  77. * (F)lag and (R)ead commands can each have their own security attached to
  78.   them. For example, a Sysop may want to limit non-subscribing callers from
  79.   the "higher end" features, using "text reading" and "flagging" as a perk
  80.   for subscribing.
